Non-Full Pipe Electromagnetic Flow Meter in Field Application

A non-full pipe electromagnetic flow meter has recently been applied in a wastewater measurement project where the pipeline could not remain completely filled during normal operation.
Unlike conventional electromagnetic flow meters, the non-full pipe type is specially designed for open or partially filled pipelines. It can measure flow even when the liquid level changes, making it suitable for drainage, wastewater, irrigation and other applications where full-pipe conditions cannot always be maintained.
During the field installation, the flow meter was installed directly on the existing pipeline to monitor the actual wastewater flow. The system provides continuous flow measurement and helps operators better understand flow conditions and manage the water treatment process.
This application demonstrates the flexibility of non-full pipe electromagnetic flow meters for challenging flow measurement conditions where conventional full-pipe meters may not be suitable.
